Putting frontier Al behind frontline

Background

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of the
world’s largest humanitarian organizations, helping over
20.5 million people in 2025 affected by conflict and disaster.
Operating across more than 40 countries, the IRC must
maximize the impact of every staff hour and dollar donated.
In 2025, the IRC partnered with Claude for Nonprofits for
discounted licenses to extend its impact with AI.

Impact

It has grown from a 300-user pilot to roughly 2,400 Claude
seats, on the way to all 10,000 staff with computers. The
partnership began with a focus on productivity: half of pilot
users reported saving four or more hours a month, and
program teams rebuilt entire processes—a portfolio
synthesis that once took a month of manual spreadsheet
work is now available immediately.

Claude also gave staff real-time data on individual cases,
making new frontline work possible. The IRC’s staff can now
spot emerging health issues that weren’t readily detectable
before—seasonal infection spikes, gaps in maternal care,
etc. —and adjust services accordingly. Frontline health
teams in Africa used Claude to organize scattered field data,
raising the share of Key health indicators used in strategic
planning from 20% to 100%. The new visibility is already
changing care on the ground: from youth outreach around
infection cases to real-time investigations of maternal care-
seeking patterns.

“What's now possible would’ve been
unimaginable before Claude. We
simply didn’t have access to this
level of real-time data and insight.”

Katherine Rodrigues, Senior Director, Policy &
Planning at International Rescue Committee

The IRC’s malnutrition project offers another example of
frontier intelligence put to work. Field teams photograph
hard-copy records, and Claude will aggregate that data into
an unprecedented and clear picture of each child’s
treatment status. The IRC anticipates that teams will be

able to spot gaps in care at both the individual and program
level and act on them. “We’re shifting from a reactive
system to anticipating which children are at risk of dropping
out of malnutrition treatment and intervening earlier,’

said Rodrigues.

Claude has cut administrative overhead in business
development, reducing the time to conduct a country-wide
funding landscaping analysis from 1 week to a couple of
hours. In a survey of early pilot users, every respondent
reported that Claude was integrated into their normal
workflow and saved them two to three hours per task.

From the back office to the field, Claude is helping the IRC
deliver care, worldwide, to the people who need it most.

How this was made

421pages reviewed
43image instances checked

The review

Three primary reviewers read non-overlapping ranges of the complete main filing. All 43 embedded image instances were transcribed and visually reviewed, including the founders’ letter, charts, and customer case studies. Financial tables were also checked visually for dates, units, and column alignment.

A separate reviewer checked the draft’s calculations, accounting interpretations, and customer qualifications. An additional check covered the later merged findings. The result is 62 findings and 21 customer examples.

The boundary

Companion contracts and other exhibits named in the filing’s index are separate documents and were not independently reviewed. Customer outcomes, technical benchmarks, forecasts, and scientific priority claims remain attributed company or customer disclosures.

The numbers

Dollar figures are U.S. dollars. H1 means the six months ended June 30; Q2 means the three months ended June 30. The 2026 interim financial statements are unaudited. Our calculations show their inputs and are labeled separately from reported values.

Blank fields stay undisclosed. Figures with different periods, conditions, or potentially overlapping scopes are kept separate. An earlier tender price is not an IPO price.

What the evidence labels mean
Reported in filing
A company disclosure, with the period and accounting basis retained.
Company estimate / company claim
An estimate or assertion attributed to the company, with its uncertainty preserved.
Our calculation
A derived figure using cited inputs. It is not a separately reported company metric.
Customer example
A selected case study, with its measurement limits. It is not representative ROI.
Proposed / conditional
A status qualifier for an arrangement that is not yet effective or depends on stated conditions.
